TAG TEAM TITLE HISTORY
9/10/02 - Due to
scheduling constraints, Richard Smoke and Dude were unable to make it
to the Tag Team tourney to defend their titles. After weighing all their
options, Michaelangelo and M-Dogg decided the only fair thing to do was
to hold up the titles and award them to the winners of this week's tournament.
Who would be the ones to step up when opportunity knocked at their doors?
In the first round, the team of M-Dogg and ICRWA faced
the team of AleXander Bhatia and The Twisted Turtle, while The Gamer and
Stmapone watched from the sidelines, relaxing due to their bye. The Twisted
Turtle's Rock layeth the smacketh down upon M-Dogg's Y2J in turn 29 with
a devastating Release Spinebuster at ringside, while AleX's Angle triumphed
in turn 28 over ICRWA's Test with a German Suplex.
In the finals, AleX and Turtle faced off against The Gamer
and Stampone. Turtle's Rock overcame Gamer's HHH and won with a turn 39
Rock Bottom, while Stampone's Bubba defeated AleX's Angle in turn 31 with
a Tilt-a-Whirl Backbreaker. So it all came down to Stampone and Turtle
for all the marbles. In the end, Stampone and Bubba defeated Turtle's
Rock in turn 31 with a vicious Bubba Bomb, bringing the gold home to The
Gamer and Stampone.
How will Richard Smoke and Dude react to their losing
the belts without losing a match? Tune in next week to find out.
9/3/02 - In a wild
tournament for the Tag Team gold, Richard Smoke and Dude were left at
the end of the night as the last men standing!
In the first round, the Team of AleXander Bhatia and The
Twisted Turtle took on The Head Honchos, Michaelangelo and M-Dogg. Turtle
made short work of M-Dogg, and they waited with baited breath for Michaelangelo
and AleXander's match to finish. But in the end, Michaelangelo and AleXander
struggled to a draw, which meant that AleXander and Turtle advanced.
In the other first round pairing, the team of Richard
Smoke and Dude took on the team of ARC2002 and ICRWA. Dude layeth the
smacketh down on ARC, and ICRWA disposed of Dick Smoke, which meant that
Dude and ICRWA had to square off for the right to head to the semis. Dude
beat ICRWA, and he and Richard Smoke advanced.
In the semifinal round, Dude got the victory over AleXander
Bhatia after a Pedigree. The Twisted Turtle and Richard Smoke drew out
their match so it was Dude's win advancing his team into the final round
to face the current champions, mick~foley and Medallion.
In the final round, Richard Smoke got the victory over
mick~foley after a turn 32 Mafia Kick. On the other side of the tag team
tandems, Dude went up against Medallion. It was all up to Medallion to
keep the belts around him and his partner's waist. After a fierce battler,
neither man could get the advantage and the match was declared a draw.
So a rematch was called with no turn limit and after another long battle,
Medallion scored the pinfall after a turn 51 Rock Bottom!!
In the match for all the marbles, Richard Smoke went up
against Medallion. But in a quick contest, Richard got the pin, the victory
for his team, and the titles after a turn 17 Chop!!
Your winners and.....NEW Tag Team Champions of the woooorrrrllllllddddddd,
Richard Smoke and Dude!!!
After the dust settled, Medallion became so outraged that
he layed the verbal smackdown on mick~foley and told everyone how it was
him carrying the team and that he had had it with mick. Medallion then
announced that his new tag team partner would be none other than ICRWA.
Will anyone be able to stop that fierce combo next week? Will we crown
new tag team champions??
8/27/02 - In the first round of the first
AoV tag team tournament, it was M-Dogg and Spider Jerusalem facing off
against Michaelangelo and -Gangsta-, with newcomers, mick~foley and Medallion
getting a bye. Mike's Trish seduced Spider's 1E Chris Jericho's shoulders
to the mat at turn 41 for the pin after a shooting star press for the
1-2-3. Meanwhile, -Gangsta-'s NWO Eddie couldn't hold onto his early lead,
and M-Dogg's 1E Angle made Eddie squeal like a piggy to his Dragon Sleeper
at turn 38.
So, it was M-Dogg versus his hated rival, Michaelangelo,
for the right for their team to advance to the finals. M-Dogg couldn't
get a "feel" of Mike's Trish and, after being hit with two stratusfactions,
it was lights out at turn 25.
In the finals, Medallion's 2E Rocky went up against -Gangsta-'s
NWO Eddie and it was the people's champ making short work of Latino Heat
with a pin halfway through the match after a rock bottom. Mike again showed
Trish's superiority with another win via a SSP, this time over mick~foley's
2E Taker.
In the final match of Michaelangelo versus Medallion,
Michaelangelo cut a promo to show that this was his night and he was not
going to lose. But Trish was no match for the people's champion, as she
was looking up at the lights after the most electrifying move in sports
entertainment, The People's Elbow!!!! So your winners and...NNNEEEWWWWW...
Alliance of Violence tag team champions of the wooorrrrlllldddd, Medallion
and mick~foley!!!!!
