INTERCONTINENTAL TITLE HISTORY

9/25/02 - The final IC tourney before the hiatus saw six players competing furiously for the championship that M-Dogg had vacated. Who would come out on top?

In the first round, Michaelangelo's Kane fell victim to Stampone's Brock Lesnar in turn 33 with a vicious Power Slam. Gamer's Brock Lesnar easily dispatched Dude's Matt Hardy with a turn 31 Shoulder to Midsection. And ICRWA prevented a Brock Lesnar trifecta when his Goldust defeated Ky0fu in turn 45 with an Armbar Takedown.

The semifinal round saw Gamer get the bye. So he waited as ICRWA and Stampone faced off for the right to face him for the title. In the end, ICRWA was no match for Stampone as he was dusted off in turn 25 with a GOAI Clothesline Over the Ropes.

So it came down to two close friends, Gamer and Stampone, for the right to wear the AoV IC Title. It was a pitched, back-and-forth battle that saw precious few advantages. But in the end, Gamer seized the opportunity and finished off Stampone with a turn 54 Back Suplex.

Congrats to Gamer, the new AoV IC Champion!

9/18/02 - After a one-week hiatus, the IC tourney was back on for the last time on Wednesdays, before shifting to its new time on Saturdays. M-Dogg looked on with worry as four of the heaviest hitters in AoV lined up to jack him for his hard-earned IC belt. Could he withstand the onslaught?

The first round saw irony as Michaelangelo's Ric Flair, the acknowledged Dirtiest Player in the Game, found himself losing in turn 28 to ICRWA's Olympic Hero, Kurt Angle 1E, when Angle grabbed the tights for the victory. In the other match, Dude's Brock Lesnar squashed Hardkore Holly's Matt Hardy like a bug with a turn 22 Spinning Powerslam.

In the semis, Dude's Brock faced off versus ICRWA's Angle. In the end, all of Brock's power was basically sound and fury signifying nothing, as Angle utilized his 3 I's by grabbing Brock's tights for the pin in turn 32.

It came down to this: ICRWA's Angle versus M-Dogg's Hurricane. ICRWA got off to an Amazing start, showing the champion zero respect with a Slap that knocked the Hurricane's taste buds into next week. But the Hurricane utilized his Hurri-powers and made a comeback, but although he was able to hit his Eye of the Hurricane, he could not pin. Frustrated, the Hurricane did a very unhero-like thing, exposing the turnbuckle and busting Angle wide open, which allowed him to hit a German Suplex for the pin and the win on turn 31.

Congrats to M-Dogg for his title defense. But, with the schedule change opening up the way for more hungry AoVers to make a run for the belt, how long will it be before M-Dogg falls?

9/4/02 - The vultures were circling around M-Dogg and his Intercontinental title this week. Could he fend them off?

The first round saw ,,!,, The Next Big Thing ,,!,, taking on Richard Smoke and ICRWA tried to prove his worth against Medallion.

Richard Smoke bested his opponent mid-way through the match and Medallion got the 1-2-3 on ICRWA after a Rock Bottom.

In the second round, it was Medallion getting the better of Richard Smoke on turn 49 for the right to face the current champion, M-Dogg.

The championship match went on for a long time and after 50 turns, there was no winner. Both men fought again in a no turn limit rematch and it was M-Dogg's Booker T proving who the real sucka was as he retained his IC title at turn 45!

8/28/02 - In the first Intercontinental tournament, there were 4 people vying for the gold. In the semifinals, M-Dogg made quick work of Michaelangelo, getting the victory after hitting The Big Elbow on turn 34 and getting the 1-2-3. The other seminfinal contest saw Skittlez going up against Bearohyesno1, but a turn 31 Missile dropkick made Skittlez's journey into the finals as much of a lock as Stone Cold showing up on COPS. In the finals, M-Dogg was Skittlez's last step for 2-title glory, but Skittlez couldn't mount an offense against M-Dogg's Test so the winner, and new AoV Intercontinental champion, is M-Dogg!!
